One hundred forty-four new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Sunday, Dec. 13 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 5.9%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Saturday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1,366, an increase of 52 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 88, a drop of 6.

There was one new death attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,485 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 122%, hospitalizations were up 125% and there had been 23 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
