One hundred sixty new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, Dec. 15 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.7%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Monday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1,321, a drop of 9 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 106, an increase of 10.

There were 2 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,568 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 83%, hospitalizations were up 152% and there had been 23 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
