One hundred fifty-eight new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Wednesday, Dec. 16 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 5.8%, according to the NYS Department of Health.
On Tuesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1,452, an increase of 131 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 110, an increase of 4.
There was 1 new death attributed to the disease reported by the county.
Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,626 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 120%, hospitalizations were up 144% and there had been 24 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
