One hundred thirty-one new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Friday, Dec. 18 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.3%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Thursday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1416, an increase of 43 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 99, a drop of 15.

There were no new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,802 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 117%, hospitalizations were up 98% and there had been 24 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
