One hundred ninety-one new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Thursday, Dec. 24 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.4%, according to the NYS Department of Health.
On Wednesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1,659, an increase of 16 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 104, a drop of 12.
There were 2 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.
Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,565 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 110%, hospitalizations were up 35% and there had been 28 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
