Two hundred forty new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Monday, Jan. 11 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 9.1%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Sunday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 2351, an increase of 188 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 162, an increase of 8.

There were 2 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,948 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 41%, hospitalizations were up 57% and there had been 60 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
