Two hundred nineteen new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Wednesday, Jan. 20 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.4%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Tuesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 2110, a drop of 225 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 159, an increase of 12.

There were 3 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 3,234 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 45%, hospitalizations were up 22% and there had been 89 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
