COVID-19: six deaths, 199 new cases, 6.0% positivity on Jan. 22 in Dutchess County

One hundred ninety-nine new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Friday, Jan. 22 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.0%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Thursday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 2422, an increase of 106 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 144, a drop of 10.

There were 6 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 3,138 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 57%, hospitalizations were unchanged and there had been 93 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
