One hundred seventy-six new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Wednesday, Jan. 27 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 5.5%, according to the NYS Department of Health.
On Tuesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1568, a drop of 139 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 170, an increase of 8.
There were 2 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.
Over the previous seven days, an average of 3,145 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were down 3%, hospitalizations were up 6% and there had been 90 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
