One hundred seventy-three new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Sunday, Jan. 31 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 5.7%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Saturday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1489, a drop of 66 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 152, a drop of 1.

There were 3 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 3,052 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were down 31%, hospitalizations were down 1% and there had been 84 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
