One hundred twelve new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Monday, Feb. 1 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.0%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Sunday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1403, a drop of 86 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 148, a drop of 4.

There were 2 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,992 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were down 40%, hospitalizations were down 8% and there had been 84 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
