COVID-19: six deaths, 34 new cases, 3.5% positivity on Feb. 2 in Dutchess County

Thirty-four new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, Feb. 2 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 3.5%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Monday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1301, a drop of 102 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 140, a drop of 8.

There were 6 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,898 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were down 43%, hospitalizations were down 14% and there had been 88 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
