One hundred thirty-three new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Monday, Feb. 8 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 6.5%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Sunday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 892, a drop of 174 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 110, an increase of 2.

There was 1 new death attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,577 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were down 64%, hospitalizations were down 29% and there had been 71 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
