One hundred four new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, Mar. 9 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 4.3%, according to the NYS Department of Health.
On Monday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1195, an increase of 173 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 47, an increase of 8.
There was 1 new death attributed to the disease reported by the county.
Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,629 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 67%, hospitalizations were down 35% and there had been 18 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
