One hundred twenty-one new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Friday, Mar. 12 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 4.0%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Thursday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1193, an increase of 129 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 36, a drop of 8.

There were 2 new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 3,125 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were up 19%, hospitalizations were down 43% and there had been 17 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
