COVID-19: 126 new cases, 3.4% positivity on Mar. 17 in Dutchess County

One hundred twenty-six new positive tests for coronavirus were reported on Wednesday, Mar. 17 in Dutchess County for a positivity rate of 3.4%, according to the NYS Department of Health.

On Tuesday, the most recent data posted by Dutchess County, the number of active cases being monitored by the county was 1024, a drop of 103 from the previous day and COVID-19 hospitalizations were at 53, an increase of 3.

There were no new deaths attributed to the disease reported by the county.

Over the previous seven days, an average of 2,692 live virus tests were given to county residents each day. Compared to three weeks earlier, active cases were down 6%, hospitalizations were up 23% and there had been 14 new deaths caused by or related to COVID-19.
