On Saturday, June 25, the Hudson Berkshire Beverage Trail is holding its “Strawberry Fields” event. The Beverage Trail is a collection of several wineries, a brewery, and a distillery, all within 50 miles of each other in the beautiful upper Hudson Valley of New York and Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. The HBBT is the most diverse Beverage Trail in New England.
For the Strawberry Fields Event, each of the participating venues will offer a special treat featuring strawberries. For example, there will be chocolate-covered strawberries at Furnace Brook Winery, strawberry jello shots at Harvest Spirits, strawberry tartlets topped with wine-laced cream at Brookview Station Winery, and strawberries marinated in rose wine topped with mascarpone cream at Tousey. Each location is unique in many ways, with lots to savor and see, and traveling the Trail makes for a great summer Saturday.
Guests may purchase a Trail Passport for $15 per person ($5 for a designated driver) at any of the locations to begin the Trail. As they travel the Trail, the passport is presented at each location to receive the special tasting and strawberry treat. Passports will be available for sale on the day of the event at all of the venues. All Beverage Trail venues are open from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.
Trail members include: Brookview Station Winery in Castleton, NY; Chatham Brewing in Chatham, NY; Furnace Brook Winery in Richmond, MA; Harvest Spirits in Valatie, NY; Hudson-Chatham Winery in Ghent, NY; and Tousey Winery on Rt 9 in Clermont, NY.
