On March 7, 2024, the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit executed a warrant on an apartment in a building off South Clinton St. in Poughkeepsie. The warrant resulted in the arrest of multiple subjects and the removal of more than 15 people from the location, according to a Dutchess County Sheriff report.
The task force had received numerous complaints that the apartment was being used to distribute fentanyl and other dangerous drugs to vulnerable community members. Residents in the area also reported being threatened by individuals in this apartment, and they feared for their safety, according to the report.
, 45, was arrested for criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree – fentanyl, a class B felony, with multiple charges pending. , 23, was arrested on a warrant for her arrest by New York State Parole related to a robbery in the first degree in Albany County. , age 42, was arrested on a warrant for burglary in the second degree by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department. , age 27, was arrested on a warrant for larceny by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
The Drug Task Force was assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau, K-9 Unit and Unmanned Aircraft Unit, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit and K-9 Unit and the Town of Hyde Park Police Department.
Additional charges were pending in this case.
