ARTS Inspired opens in Red Hook

The Red Hook Community Arts Network (RHCAN) presents ARTS Inspired, a 3-day celebration of the arts at another new venue in Red Hook, New York on August 19, 20 and 21. The Emporium, located at 7392 S. Broadway (Route 9), is an ideal location for such an event, as it is actually an interesting complex of many rooms of varying sizes. CAN’s goal is to proudly exhibit the work of local artists, and visitors will enjoy a unique experience as they move through the space and appreciate art, crafts, theater, music, and delicious local food.

CAN’s first project was their ArtPOP gallery, which transformed a vacant store in the Village of Red Hook into an attractive gallery of juried art. The idea of helping to revitalize the economy of this area of the Hudson Valley through art was a combined effort of CAN, the Red Hook Chamber of Commerce, and local business owners.

Coinciding with the eighth annual Art Along the Hudson, ARTS Inspired will be one of the attractions featured in their Red Hook/Rhinebeck weekend. Hours will be Friday, August 19, 4-8 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 1-8 p.m., and Sunday, August 21, 1-5 p.m. Follow CAN’s progress on our Facebook page, rhcan.blogspot.com, and redhookchamber.org.
