Rhinebeck choral club to hold winter concert

Encore! is the shout of the day. The RHINEBECK CHORAL CLUB has chosen to present its best-received and most-fun-to-sing winter holiday music from the past 10 years! Concerts are on Saturday, December 10, at 7:30 PM at the Rhinebeck Reformed Church, 6368 Mill Street in Rhinebeck and on Sunday, December 11, at 3 PM at the New Beginnings Church, 35 De Garmo Road in Poughkeepsie. Doors open one-half hour before each performance. The Saturday performance is scheduled one-half hour earlier than in previous years.

The concert will include rousing fanfares and gentle lullabies, celebrations of Christmas and Hanukah, an American spiritual, a French carol, a contemporary Israeli song, a crackling sleigh-ride through the Russian countryside, a sing-along, and much more! “It was a real pleasure to put this program together,” Choir Director Charles Kelley declared, “I’d forgotten just how much fun we’ve had over the past 10 years!” Sixty choristers all emphatically agree and rehearsals have been bubbling with energy and enthusiasm. You won’t want to miss this tuneful and inspiring concert!

Tickets for the concert are $10 for adults and $8 for students. Purchase tickets at the door or in advance from choir members. And save some room for coffee and baked goods that will be available at intermission!

Comprised of neighbors and friends in the Hudson Valley who enjoy singing together, the Rhinebeck Choral Club welcomes new members into its ranks each September and January. For further information, log on to www.rhinebeckchoralclub.org or call 845-532-1204.
