Rotary InternationalThe Rotary Club of Red Hook is pleased to announce that the club will award two scholarships of $750.00 each in a two or four year program.

Each applicant must be a legal resident and senior of the Red Hook Central, Pine Plains or Germantown Central School District.

The student may attend a post-secondary school of his or her choice. Scholarship awards will be distributed directly to the student upon the successful completion of their senior year in high school. Funds are to be used by the student for any educational expense.

The award is based on academic ability (top 20% of class), leadership ability, involvement in community service activities and communication skills of the student.

Credentials of the scholarship applicants will include the following:

1. completed scholarship application package
2. an up-to-date transcript
3. three (3) reference letters, one of the letters must be from your school guidance counselor

An selection committee composed of members of the Red Hook Rotary Club will review your completed application package. The committee will base its decision not only on the response to this year’s application, but also on the applicant’s history as a student.

Interviews will be arranged with the semifinalists and conducted at your school district with Red Hook Rotary members.

Application forms may be obtained from the Guidance Office at your high school. Completed forms must be returned to the Guidance Office by April 1st, 2011.
