Attorney Julian Schreibman received the endorsement of the Dutchess County Democratic Committee at their March 22 convention held in Poughkeepsie to run for the newly redrawn 19th Congressional District against incumbent Republican Chris Gibson who has indicated he plans to run for re-election.
“This is a campaign for fairness. Years of rewarding powerful interests and the already-privileged must end. We must do this, for our families, for our future. After a decade and more of public service in national security and law enforcement, I know something about tough fights. I will bring the energy and attitude of a prosecutor to fix Washington,” said Schreibman.
Schreibman will still need to qualify for the ballot via petition.
The new 19th Congressional district includes most of Dutchess including all of Red Hook, Milan, Tivoli and Rhinebeck.
