Common Core event set in Hyde Park Nov. 12

The public is invited to “Common Core ELA and Math Night” Nov. 12 at the Hyde Park Central School District Office, 11 Boice Rd.

The event, from 5pm to 6:30pm, will explain the implementation of the new statewide Common Core learning standards in Hyde Park schools.

“The Common Core requires significant changes to our curriculum, instruction and assessment,” Superintendent Greer Rychik said in a news release on the event.

Attendees will be able explore learning activities by grade level, and curriculum and supplemental materials will be available for review.
